Elijah created the one vampire that was stronger than all of them. He then asks that vampire to wipe his memory thereby allowing himself to allow the love of his life to be captured, tortured, be stripped of her werewolf heritage and then killed leaving her child motherless. Then, at the end, is directly responsible for taking Klaus's life. I know we all enjoy Elijah, but looking at this objectively, he exhibited some dodgey behavior!
